Yesterday was a poker tournament, which I have been going to in the last couple of weeks. It's near fort lee, in a smokey bar called Hooha. It's a pretty fun tournament, it sort of changed the way I play poker. I'm taking less risks now and have to really control my body language sometimes I have random quirks that make me slam the chips or maybe my voice cracks lol but it's all good, practice makes perfect right? You start with 3650 chips and the winner gets $25 but the blinds go up pretty fast plus with the slow shuffling means you have to make some crazy moves and just hope for the best. But a few things I didn't really like.where these two guys... One is kind of funny and he looks like kimbo slice, he has a kinda long scraggly beard and a shaved head, he was standing behind me when my cards came and he saw suited 8-Q of hearts. Now normally I would play this hand, but one person already went all in so I decided to fold. Then "Kimbo" said in a low voice did you just fold 8-Q of diamonds like I was crazy. I told him no they were hearts and he said oh ok that's alright then 3 diamonds come on the flop. So is he a psychic, or does he know when his other friends are manipulating the cards? I really just don't know. The other incident i had was with this guy with short dread locks when i posted my 50 blind he took it but i didn't notice it at the time, so then like less then a minute later the person shuffling is done and ShortDreadlockguy tells me to post my blind. I told him I already did it and he claimed no those were his chips and then I told him I saw him take it and he admitted to it then he just said he was messing around. Later I noticed my small blind gone and I confronted him again which he said if I took your other green chip then I would have more then just 4 green chips. Which is pretty obvious, but I bet he had it in his jacket. Then when he shook my hand and we exchanged names he pulled a chris angel mind freak on me and "stole my watch" but in this case I sure it was more chips... pretty fucking annoying but whatever i'll just get that mother fucker next Thursday.
I guess I could talk some more about german and what I plan to do. First of all I definetly plan on taking the german clep if you get over a 60 on it that will be 12 credits and over a 50 is 6. How awesome would it be to get 12??? :D That knocks out 4 random classes. So I'm using the rosseta stone program for german so far I think it's working pretty well. There are 3 levels and each level has 4 sections it says that each section takes about 8 hours to complete. All together it should take roughly 96 hours but I have already completed 2.5 of the sections so maybe 76 hours. With exactly 60 days till the last Wednesday before we go to Germany it think I'll be ready enough. wouldn't it seem logical to go to Germany before the test? I'd agree with you but i just know i won't learn that much there this time.
